Bindex Training Day
A hands-on, clinic-grade day to master the Bindex measurement technique, patient positioning, and the software — from first probe to high-quality readout.
- Duration
- 4–6 hours
- Practice measurements
- 10+ per participant
- Format
- On-site, operator-led

What to expect
Three focused blocks guide you from technique to confident, repeatable measurement.
Technique
Learn correct probe handling and patient positioning for consistent, safe measurements.
Software
Navigate the Bindex interface, pair the device, and interpret real measurement results.
Confidence
Finish able to run a full session independently and with high quality.
Preparation instructions
To ensure an efficient and successful training day, prepare the following in advance.
Duration · 1 participant
≈ 4 h
Approximate, self-paced.
Duration · 2 participants
≈ 5–6 h
Varying with prior experience.
The actual duration may vary depending on the participants' previous experience and how quickly they become familiar with the measurement technique and software.
Practical measurements
Each participant should:
- Perform at least 10 practice measurements
- Practise patient positioning
- Practise correct handling of the Bindex probe
- Practise interpreting the measurement results
Training environment
A quiet room with sufficient space, with:
- One chair for the participant/patient
- One chair for the operator
- A table or desk for the laptop/computer
- Sufficient space to comfortably raise and position the leg
- An ergonomic working environment for the operator
Equipment checklist
Available and working before the training:
- Bindex device
- Laptop/computer with the latest software installed
- Valid and tested user credentials
- Charging cable and power supply
- Stable internet connection, if required
Consumables
Please have the following available:
- Ultrasound gel
- Disinfectant suitable for the Bindex probe
- Skin-cleaning wipes or alcohol wipes
- Paper towels or disposable wipes
- Waste bin
Volunteers for the practical measurements
Arrange enough volunteers so each participant can perform at least 10 practice measurements. Friends and family members are perfectly suitable — ideally with different body types so participants gain experience across a variety of measurement situations. Please inform the volunteers in advance that:
- The measurements are performed on the lower leg
- Clothing needs to provide easy access to the measurement area up to the knee
- Shorts, loose trousers, or clothing that can easily be rolled up are recommended
Before the training
- 1The Bindex software is installed and tested.
- 2User accounts and passwords are available.
- 3The Bindex device has been successfully paired with the computer.
- 4All equipment and materials are ready before the training begins.
Good preparation lets us focus the training on practical skills, safe use of the system, and achieving high-quality measurements.
